Cross-cultural observations

I was born in Seoul. At three, I boarded my first flight to join my dad in Paris. After that came Surrey, England. Then back to Seoul for my teenage years, followed by Doha, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. Now firmly settled in Seoul, I enjoy noticing how language, behaviors, and ideas travel across cultures, and how sometimes, they don’t.

Communication, non-verbal cues

In addition to working in marketing, I teach the language of interviewing. Language is not only spoken. It’s also in our facial expressions, the way we carry ourselves, and the energy we give off. That is why I’m interested in the non-verbal side of communication, first impressions and how they change, the subtle ways people read each other before a word is even said.
